We've just launched SwitchLight 2.0 — and it's available through Beeble web app. Our next-generation model transforms any footage into full-scene, physically based rendering (PBR) maps with unmatched accuracy and detail.

What's new in 2.0?

Trained with 13x more data and 10x larger model, SwitchLight 2.0 delivers pixel-perfect maps for every element—base color, normal, metallic, roughness, and specular—directly from image or video. Compared to SwitchLight 1.0, it delivers significantly enhanced accuracy and understands the whole scene, including both background elements and common objects. It is built to empower creators of all levels with full relighting and compositing capabilities.

  1. Ultra-detailed PBR maps

SwitchLight 2.0 can capture the details of skin texture, fabric, and facial and scene detail with stunning accuracy. Even in challenging real-world scenarios such as outdoors with strong shadow and highlight, making a significant improvement from SwitchLight 1.0, 2.0 model faithfully recovers PBR maps. No more plastic-looking skin.

  2. Full-scene understanding beyond humans

SwitchLight 1.0 required an alpha mask to specify the foreground subject, as it could only generate PBR passes for isolated humans. In contrast, SwitchLight 2.0 requires no alpha input and generates accurate PBR maps for the entire scene. Trained on a diverse dataset of objects beyond just people, SwitchLight 2.0 enables high-quality relighting and seamless compositing in any setting. No alpha masks needed anymore.

Now with UE 5.6 Support & Project-Based Installation

The Beeble plugin for Unreal Engine just got a major upgrade: UE 5.6 compatibility & Project-Based Installation

  • UE 5.6 Support: UE Plugin is now compatible with 5.6

  • No more executing Python script everytime—just download the plugin, unzip it, and drop it into your project folder. It will stay activated as long as you are using the same project.

  • Camera Control to match real world: The Beeble Camera and Beeble Plate are now anchored together - just like in the Blender add-on. We added focal length and distance control, allowing you to match the camera parameters to your real-world camera setup.  The media plane will auto-scale based on focal length and distance from the camera.
