SwitchLight 3.0 is the best Video-to-PBR model in the world. It delivers unmatched quality in generating physically based rendering (PBR) passes from any video, setting a new standard for VFX professionals and filmmakers who demand true production-level relighting.

SwitchLight 3.0 makes this possible. We're bringing SwitchLight 3.0 to both the Beeble cloud app and our new desktop app, Beeble Studio.

  • In the Beeble cloud app, all footage is now processed using SwitchLight 3.0, upgraded seamlessly from version 2.0.
  • The new Beeble Studio desktop app runs SwitchLight 3.0 entirely on your local GPU, designed for professionals who need secure, local workflows. It unlocks 4K processing, 16-bit EXR outputs, and supports videos up to 1 hour in length.

SwitchLight 3.0 is available today. If you're using Beeble Cloud, your footage will be automatically processed with the new model, no price changes. If you're using Beeble Studio, the app will automatically download and install the new model.

What's new in SwitchLight 3.0

SwitchLight 3.0 has 2 main changes:

  • True Video Model: For the first time, SwitchLight is a true video model that processes multiple frames simultaneously. Earlier versions relied on single-frame image processing followed by a separate deflicker step. In version 3.0, temporal consistency is built directly into the model, delivering smoother, more stable results while preserving sharp detail.

  • 10× Larger Training Set: Trained on a dataset ten times bigger, SwitchLight 3.0 captures a broader range of lighting conditions, materials, and environments for more realistic results. This expanded data foundation significantly enhances realism and generalization across different scenes.

CAPTURE EVERY DETAIL UP TO 4K

SwitchLight 3.0 achieves a new level of detail and visual clarity. Compared to 2.0, it captures finer facial definition, intricate fabric wrinkles, and sophisticated surface patterns with far greater accuracy. Materials look more natural and consistent, and the overall clarity of PBR outputs has significantly improved.

Facial sharpness has been significantly enhanced—wrinkles and subtle surface textures are captured more accurately, along with complex hat patterns.
Facial definition is much sharper than before, with clear improvements in fine details like eyeglass frames and shirt. Background objects and walls also appear crisper and more natural.
Individual hair strands are rendered with greater precision, and the boundaries between subject and background are now cleaner and more stable.

TRUE VIDEO MODEL

SwitchLight 3.0 is a true end-to-end video model that understands motion natively. Unlike SwitchLight 2.0, which relied on an image model and post-smoothing, it eliminates flicker and ghosting even in extreme motion, shaking cameras, or vibrating subjects. Every frame maintains coherent materials across time.

Scenes with strong camera motion no longer suffer from ghosting, and overall image clarity has improved noticeably.
Even in fast motion, ghosting artifacts are completely gone. The background now retains accurate normal maps that were missing in 2.0.
Ghosting that used to appear around large body movements has been fully eliminated in 3.0.

Improved Stability and Refinement

SwitchLight 3.0 resolves previous artifacts such as the strong green tint and incorrect normal orientation on the top of the head, restoring accurate surface color and lighting. Hair are now rendered with greater precision and maintain smooth temporal consistency across frames. Even in animated sequences, SwitchLight 3.0 preserves fine structural details.

The excessive upward-facing normal on the top of the head—previously showing a green tint—has been completely fixed.
